About Post Exchange in Youngsville, LA. We are Acadiana’s foremost location for Firearms Sales, Conceal Carry Classes and Safety Training. We’ve been providing custom gun fitting and License to Carry training to Louisiana residents for over 14 years. We understand the importance of personal protection and defense, and enjoy passing on that knowledge to others.
Training
George Fournet grew up shooting in Franklin, LA. His father served in the United States Army during the Korean War and instilled the love of shooting in George at a young age. He attended the Marine Military Academy and further refined his shooting skills on the rifle team. After graduation from the Academy, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served the nation in Desert Storm. During his tenure in the Corps, George excelled at shooting service rifle matches at Stonebay, Camp Lejune, North Carolina.
Experience
After the end of his tour he worked as a Deputy at the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office. George’s experience in law enforcement opened his eyes to the serious extent of crime in the Acadiana area. He realized his passion for shooting could become the salvation for people seeking self-defense. He started teaching concealed carry classes at Post Exchange and educating people about crime awareness.
Skill
To this day, George still enjoys competing in the 600 yard matches every 1st Saturday of the month; and the Across the Course Matches on the 3rd Saturday of each month. He is a highly qualified marksman and dedicated firearms trainer. No other concealed carry instructor is more passionate about educating it’s students than George. Innovation
George is not only a skilled marksman and passionate instructor, he is innovating the firearm accessory industry. His invention the Cock Bloc is a slide rack assist device. He had occasionally observed previous clients having trouble manipulating the slide on a handgun. Things like arthritis, hand and wrist injuries, or lack of strength make it difficult for some people to rack a gun slide. The Cock Bloc helps shooter easily engage the slide on a handgun. Firearm Training
Owning a gun isn’t enough. To keep yourself safe and maintain the safety of everyone around you, you’ll need to enroll in firearm safety training classes. If you are near Youngsville, LA, you don’t need to look far. You can sign up for the classes offered by Post Exchange. We organize concealed carry classes for those who want to get their concealed handgun permit and need to obtain the required training certificate.

Want to sign up for our classes but don’t yet have a firearm? Don’t worry since we can help you obtain one! Simply inform us that you’d like to purchase a firearm, and we’ll guide you through the process and ensure that you’ll buy the right weapon that meets your needs and budget. We can also provide you with enough ammo for the training, but you’ll need to inform us ahead of time so we can prepare everything beforehand.
Shooting Range
Post Exchange has two shooting ranges at the store. We have an indoor range as well as an outdoor range, both available by appointment. The outdoor shooting lane is 100 yards and good for multiple types of firearms. It is a short ATV ride from the store and is dependent on the weather. The indoor range is a state-of-the-art Tactical Judgement Firearms Training Facility. The indoor range has two private shooting bays set up for either live-fire handguns or laser guns. The laser guns enable you to practice all the judgment training and marksman skills without using up your ammo. The indoor range is unique to our area because you are not just shooting at paper targets under optimum conditions. You are shooting in simulated ‘real-life’ scenarios. One of the best things about working with the Post Exchange is that you have access to a range instructor that will help you correct your mistakes and teach you proper shooting disciplines.
